We had an awesome Memorial Day weekend. We went down to Utah to visit family and our super good friends and when we came back I was so tired! I felt so lethargic and just wanted to rest after hustling around all weekend!
On Tuesday night, Benson woke up a couple of times, which he never does, so I was up and down with him. He even threw up and I gave him a bath at like 11:30 p.m. I feel like a real mom now! It turns out he was getting his first cold. It threw a wrench in my plans, but I didn't mind that he was little more clingy that usual. He's a pretty independent kid so it was nice getting some snuggling in.
While I was frustrated that I didn't get as much accomplished as I would have liked to I realized that doesn't mean I have failed. Just because my day or week didn't go the way I planed it doesn't mean I have to give up all together. I can start again tomorrow. I think it's important that we learn to forgive ourselves quickly and move on instead of beating ourselves up for the things we don't do. Life moves on and so should we.
This was a lot more philosophical than I planned, but I guess I needed it today! I hope you did too. Have a great weekend and let's all start fresh on Monday!
